Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting said in the pre-match press conference

The Bengaluru head coach pointed out that tomorrow’s game will be tough, saying, “These are all tough games in the IPL. If you turn the clock back two weeks, RCB were not playing anywhere near their best.”
“We’ve won five of the last seven,” he added. And we’ve made some big scores along the way. There will be no excuses from our side tomorrow, even if Pant is not in the lineup, if we come and play our best game, I know Delhi Capitals will be very difficult to beat tomorrow.”
While talking about the team combination in the absence of Rishabh Pant in this match, Ponting also gave an update on the fitness of David Warner.
He said, “David Warner did not play in the last game, he got a chance to play that bad innings about a month ago and since then he has not played any game. He trained very hard yesterday, now he is in the middle Will hit only the balls. So he will bat some more today, hopefully he will be available for selection tomorrow.”
