Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting said in the pre-match press conference

While talking about the team combination in the absence of Rishabh Pant in this match, Ponting also gave an update on the fitness of David Warner.
He said, “David Warner did not play in the last game, he got a chance to play that bad innings about a month ago and since then he has not played any game. He trained very hard yesterday, now he is in the middle Will hit only the balls. So he will bat some more today, hopefully he will be available for selection tomorrow.”
