Harbajan told that Dhoni had brought the team as the new captain, so he needed everyone’s support. He talked about this in detail and also suggested Rohit to play as his co-captain.
Recalling the important moments in his statement, Harbajan said that during his captaincy, Dhoni gave important guidance to the team to play collectively.
He said, “Dhoni was a great listener, took collective decisions that benefited the team, it was not about individual performance but about playing as ‘us’.”
Harbajan further said, “Now the question is, will Rohit Sharma also be able to provide similar support? If we play as a united team thinking about collective success, we can win. But if we focus on individual achievements, we can win. Instead of just focusing on your goals, things become difficult.”
Through this partnership, Harbajan Singh highlighted the importance of Dhoni’s support and collective play and suggested Rohit Sharma to do the same.
