Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has an important piece of advice for Royal Challengers Bangalore, saying that if the franchise aims to win the Indian Premier League trophy in the future, they should prioritize investing in Indian players.

Along with this, he also advised RCB to adopt a proactive approach to nurture Indian talent.
Kaif said, “Losing six consecutive matches means that the team was deprived of victory for a month. This has left them far behind in the standings. But they should be appreciated for this comeback.”
He stressed the need for RCB to learn from their experiences and said, “This is a lesson for next year. You have to support the Indian players.”
“KKR have invested in Indian players and they are at the top, so are Rajasthan Royals,” Kaif said, pointing to the success stories of other IPL teams.
RCB needs to take a proactive approach to harnessing Indian talent, was Kaif’s main point. “RCB should bring in Indian players. Do scouting, bring them in and bring them back,” he said.
Kaif also cautioned against RCB’s dependence on foreign players, saying, “They have an obsession with foreign players…RCB have now learned how to win without stars like Maxwell. This should serve as a lesson to them.” “I should be working.”
