IPL 2024: On Monday, it was a tough day for Royal Challengers Bangalore fans who had golden dreams in the mega clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
After a very encouraging start, when Faf du Plessis-led team SRH created a unique history by scoring 287 runs in 20 overs, Bengaluru’s dream of victory once again weakened. After this, in the end RCB lagged by 25 runs. It fell to its fifth consecutive defeat in IPL 2024. RCB is last among the 10 teams with every loss.
RCB have registered their fifth consecutive defeat this season, due to which they are currently at the last position on the IPL table. Along with Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, this team is one of the three teams that have been playing in the IPL since 2008, but till now they have not got a chance to win the tournament.
Mahesh Bhupathi wrote an emotional note on “X”
After this disappointing performance, Indian tennis great Mahesh Bhupathi wrote an emotional note. He made a tweet on social media, in which he said,
“For the sake of the game, the IPL, the fans and even the players, I think the BCCI needs to implement the sale of RCB to a new owner who will take care of building a sports franchise just like other teams.
On The Ranveer Show on YouTube, Bhupathi’s comment on RCB’s poor performance was preceded by former England cricket team captain Michael Vaughan’s comment.
“I like the fact that RCB have never won, it proves to me that a team game is not just about individuals. You can go and buy all the biggest individual names and make them You can put in a team, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to win and that’s been proven in RCB,” he said.
Forward Michael Vaughan said, “They have signed some incredible players – AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Faf – incredible players. But it doesn’t tell you until you run the whole team and every one Knowing the role and recognizing the different roles different people play and it may be that you have to make slight changes to your team to allow someone else to flourish in a different position, I don’t see RCB doing that. See,”
