When it comes to zeal and passion on the cricket field, players can surprise the audience with their excellent performance anytime. Something similar happened in this match also where the teams gave a fierce competition. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel, in particular, were on fire with their bat.

Jake Fraser-McGurk, who played a smashing inning of 50 runs in just 20 balls, hit 7 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. His strike rate was 250, which gave his team an early lead. However, he was dismissed by Ashwin after getting caught by Donovan Ferreira.

Abhishek Porel also strengthened his team’s position by scoring 65 runs in 36 balls. He also hit 7 fours and 3 sixes, due to which his strike rate was 180.56. Ashwin also made him his victim, which showed the power of Ashwin’s bowling.

Other players like Shai Hope and Axar Patel scored 1 and 15 runs respectively, but their innings were short. Pant, the team captain and wicketkeeper, scored 15 runs before being caught by Chahal off Boult.

Tristan Stubbs also played an inning of 41 runs in 20 balls, in which he hit 3 fours and as many sixes. His strike rate was 205, which shows how aggressive he was to score runs.

Thus, the Delhi Capitals batsmen scored 221 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs and set a target of 222 runs in front of the number 2 team of the season, Rajasthan.

2nd Inning, DC vs RR: Explosive innings of Sanju Samson, dominance of Delhi bowlers

All limits of excitement were crossed in today’s IPL match, where Sanju Samson’s explosive batting set the field on fire. He scored 86 runs in just 46 balls, which included 8 fours and 6 sixes, giving his strike rate of 186.96. His explosive innings kept the audience glued to their seats.

Delhi bowlers also left no stone unturned. Especially Mukesh Kumar and Khalil Ahmed together troubled the batsmen of the opposition team a lot. Mukesh Kumar took 2 important wickets with his fast and accurate bowling, while Khalil Ahmed also took 2 wickets in his 4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav also took 2 wickets with his spin bowling, which gave his team great success in the middle order.

Jos Buttler also tried to sail his team to some extent by scoring 19 runs, but he was often seen in trouble. His innings included 2 fours and 1 six, but he was often seen struggling against the bowlers.

Riyan Parag and Shubham Dubey also kept the scoreboard ticking by scoring 27 and 25 runs respectively. Shubham Dubey was particularly impressive, scoring 25 runs off just 12 balls and his innings included 2 fours and 2 sixes.

Ultimately, this match proved to be challenging not only for the batsmen but also for the bowlers. Players from both teams gave their best performance, but in the end Delhi’s bowling helped them win the match.

DC vs RR: Statement

Sanju Samson | RR captain: I think we had it in our hands, it was like 11-12 runs per over, it was achievable, these things happen in IPL. Yes, we are doing both the things fine, we will like to stick what the conditions demand, 220 was 10 runs extra to chase, the DC opener came out and did what he does, we still came back well.

We have lost three games but all those games have been really tight, we have been playing remarkably well, we have to do some fine-tuning and we need to keep the momentum going.

Yes and No actually, you have to give credit to someone like Stubbs who batted well against Sandeep, he scored 2-3 sixes extra against my best bowlers who are Yuzi Chahal and Sandeep Sharma. We have lost the game, we have to find out where we lost the game, we need to keep moving.
