Watch: Why did Rohit pat Hardik’s back?

In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai achieved a spectacular victory by 7 wickets and improved their position in the points table.

Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya, who is known for his bowling, attracted attention with his bowling even though he did not get a chance to bat in this match.

Hardik took 3 important wickets for just 31 runs in 4 overs, which gave Mumbai a strong lead in the match. His bowling performance is being discussed everywhere.

After Hardik dismissed SRH batsman Shahbaz Ahmed, Rohit also came over and patted him on the back, acknowledging the captain’s success as a bowler.

Apart from Hardik, the Mumbai batsmen also performed remarkably. Especially, Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) impressed everyone with his batting.

Suryakumar not only scored runs at a rapid pace but also maintained pressure on the opposition bowlers, putting Mumbai in a strong position.

After the match, Hardik lauded both the team’s bowling and batting. They said,
“We want to focus on playing good cricket, still think we gave 10-15 runs extra. The way our batsmen batted, it was brilliant. My bowling, I like to bowl in the right areas, I bowl as per the situation.”

“He (Chawla) had to be accurate, the margin for mistakes has reduced for bowlers these days. It’s incredible, SKY’s best past is the way he puts bowlers under pressure. It’s sheer confidence, his game has changed. He is one of the best batsmen, he can change the game, lucky to have him (SKY) in our team.”

This win has raised hopes for Mumbai Indians in the further matches, although reaching the playoffs will still be a challenge. The team will need to repeat a similar performance in their remaining matches, and this can be a big expectation for Hardik and his team.
