The shining star in the world of IPL and the unique batsman of Delhi Capitals, David Warner recently opened up on his experiences with his former team Sunrisers Hyderabad.

David Warner, who was once proud and successful with Sunrisers Hyderabad, said that being unceremoniously dropped from the team in 2021 was extremely painful for him.
In this conversation Warner described that time as “difficult and strange”. Not only this, the team blocked him on social media, which was an unusual step.
Warner explained in detail how even after being dropped from the team, he continued to bring drinks for his team on the field. In this conversation he stressed that his aim was always to maintain a positive relationship with the team and its fans. He was hurt that the franchise’s behavior towards him also saddened the fans.

“It hurt because it was sad for the fans. The fans are the most important relationship you have. My bond with the fans and with the team was great,” Warner said.
He further said that even today he has not been able to understand why he was treated like this.
“I’m not sure why I was blocked. But I connected with a lot of fans on social media for SRH. I felt it was my duty to connect with the fans, make sure they keep coming back. That’s the most important thing. But from a blocking standpoint, I don’t know. At the end of the day, I still have fans who come to my page and talk to everyone. So it’s great,” he said.
David Warner made many records during his time with SRH and led the team to the IPL title in 2016. He made full use of his abilities for the team and made the team victorious many times with his performance.
Thus, Warner’s story not only reflects his own disappointment, but also how relationships and connections on the playing field are just as important as the competition of the game.
