Reddy told that he had faith in his SRH captain, and when he heard the captain’s praise after joining the team, he felt very proud.
He told that before coming to India, Naveen Cummins had seen his batting on YouTube and this boosted his confidence.
Reddy said, “I was surprised. How did he know about my batting? He had not seen me in practice sessions. So I asked him about it and he said that he had seen my batting videos on YouTube and appreciated my talent. So it is really a kind of boost.”
Apart from this, Reddy also said that Pat’s performance this season has made it clear that he will captain Hyderabad in the next season as well.
Reddy expressed happiness over being selected for his first international match in the 2024 Indian T20 team, but unfortunately he could not participate in the Zimbabwe series due to injury.
Reddy said, “I was feeling that I would get a chance in the Zimbabwe series. And I got that small call and I did not understand what to do. I called my father directly and he literally started crying … tears of joy. Even my mother was very happy. “
Unfortunately, because of this injury, I am not part of this Zimbabwe tour. But this is part of an athlete’s life. Whatever happens, you have to accept it. If you ask me, this is not the point where I can stop. There are a lot of matches to come.
He adds even more strongly, “There are a lot of matches to come. I want to focus. I should not demoralise myself. What’s done is done. We can’t change it, can we?”
