Royal Challengers Bangalore faced a defeat in the previous game against Mumbai Indians and as per the latest report, Glenn Maxwell is likely to miss the upcoming clash due to a thumb injury. During the contest against Mumbai Indians, while trying to snatch the ball after it was struck by a batter, Maxwell’s thumb got injured and he left the field in mid of the game. The performance of the batter has not been good for the side in the ongoing season which is also affecting the overall performance of the side in the tournament.

RCB secured only 1 win in the previous six matches 

The performance of the Royal Challengers Bangalore has not been good in the recent matches of the tournament as the side could secure only 1 victory in the previous six matches and both the batting and the bowling units of the side are not performing as per expectations. In this scenario, the absence of Glenn Maxwell for the upcoming encounter is not good news for the side. However, Maxwell has not contributed much for the side in the previous contests and he could not hit even a single half-century in the last matches.

RCB Stands in the 9th place in the table

KKR is placed in second place with 3 wins in 4 contests while LSG and CSK are standing in the 3rd and 4th place with 3 victories in 4 and 5 contests respectively.

Glenn Maxwell’s Poor Form in IPL 2024

In the six contests which he played in the ongoing season of the tournament, Maxwell scored only 32 runs with a poor batting average of 5.33 and a strike rate of 94.12 which does not include a half-century or a ton. He smashed only 3 fours in the ongoing seasons and his overall performance has been very disappointing for the side.
