Mumbai Indians defeated the Royals Challengers Bangalore in the 25th league-stage clash of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. After winning the toss, Mumbai Indians invited RCB to attach a score on the board.
RCB made a good total of 196 runs in the first innings but as per the records of the matches played this season, a score nearer to 200 is easily getting chased and the same happened to RCB, with the help of an explosive knock by Suryakumar Yadav, Mumbai comfortably chased down the target in just 15.3 overs.
Faf du Plessis played an Impressive Knock of 61 runs
Faf du Plessis scored 61 runs in 40 deliveries with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 152.50 while Rajat Patidar also smashed an impressive half-century and scored 50 runs in just 26 deliveries with a strike rate of 192.31 with the help of 7 boundaries. Virat Kohli could not do much for the side with the bat and scored only 3 runs after facing 9 deliveries and got dismissed on the third delivery of the third over.
Dinesh Karthik played an impressive knock of 53 runs in just 23 deliveries at an excellent strike rate of 230.43 including 5 fours and 4 sixes. From the bowling department of the side, Akash Deep, Vijay Kumar and Jacks picked up 1-1 wickets while Mohammed Siraj could not pick any wicket in the game and spent 37 runs in 3 overs at an economy rate of 12.33.
Suryakumar Yadav completed his Half-century in just 17 deliveries
Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant knock of 52 runs in just 19 deliveries with an outstanding strike rate of 273.68 including 5 fours and 4 sixes. Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma also made a huge partnership of 101 runs for the first wicket in 8.5 overs.
Ishan Kishan played an innings of 69 runs in just 34 deliveries with a strike rate of 202.94 which includes 12 boundaries while Rohit Sharma also made 38 runs in 24 deliveries. Hardik Pandya stayed on the crease till the end and scored 21 runs in just 6 deliveries with the help of 3 massive sixes. In the Tilak Varma also made 16 runs in 10 deliveries and Mumbai Indians easily chased the required total.
