When the Indian team won the T20 World Cup for the first time in 2007, the team showed its strength to the world under the patience of Gautam Gambhir and the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
- In 2009 also, India participated in the important tournament and reached the semi-finals, but had to face defeat there.
- In 2010 also, India’s luck was not with them and they failed to reach the semi-finals.
- In 2012, the Indian team again showed its talent in the cricket mega-event and reached the semi-finals, but had to face defeat there.
- In 2014 Virat Kohli performed brilliantly in the tournament, but there was no joy of victory for the team.
- In 2016 also, Team India reached the semi-finals, but had to face defeat in the final.
- The 2021 World Cup brought the opposite fruit for India and the team was eliminated in the group stage itself.
- In 2022, India reached the semi-finals, but had to face defeat there.
Apart from this, the Indian team has always had to struggle to reach the knockouts. This is a big introduction for them, which is a sign of their fight. The captain and players of the team have always tried to take their cricketing mastery to the top, but sometimes luck was not with them.
Now the hopes of Team India players are increasing that they will perform well in the next tournament and India will get a chance to win another T20 World Cup.
