Mumbai Indians have managed just four wins from 14 matches this season and finish at the bottom of the points table. MI ideologues and administrators were forced to change the captaincy and they removed Rohit Sharma from the post and appointed Hardik Pandya as the new captain.
But in this first competition under the new leadership, Mumbai Indians did not get very good results. MI put in a divisive performance and were not backed by their own commitment.
In an interview with broadcasters, Hardik Pandya said,
“Very difficult, this season we did not play good quality cricket and it cost us throughout the season. It is a professional world, sometimes good and sometimes bad days come. Group as a player “We did not play quality and smart cricket and it showed in the results. It is too early to tell what went wrong tonight. We can leave this game and wait for the next season.”
MI fans are feeling disappointed because they did not see a good performance from their favorite team. New captain Hardik Pandya is also with his supporters during these difficult times, and he is assuring them that he will take his team back to those heights in the next season.
Finally, this season has come to an end, but MI players and manager are preparing to reach new heights in the next season. It is expected that he will lead his team back to victory.
