The Pakistani cricket team has been mired in controversy after a comment by their head coach Gary Kirsten. In this comment, Kirsten has referred to the powerlessness of the Pakistani team after being eliminated from the T20 World Cup.
Gary Kirsten, who won the ODI World Cup with India in 2011, has expressed his concerns about the controversial environment of the team.
Referring to the controversial environment within the team after being eliminated from the T20 World Cup, he said that the players are not supporting each other and have also been seen on hunger strike.
According to a report quoting a senior journalist, Kirsten said, “There is no unity in the Pakistan team. They call it a team, but it is not a team. They are not supporting each other; everyone is isolated, left and right. I have worked with many teams, but I have never seen such a situation.”
After this controversy, there has been a stir in the Pakistani media. According to reports, Gary Kirsten has expressed his displeasure with the team’s performance during the World Cup and has also questioned the fitness level and cricketing ability of the players.
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has also given his opinion on this issue.
