Harvik Desai Makes Entry into the Indian Premier League
A wicket-keeper batter from Saurashtra, Harvik Desai is included in the squad of the Mumbai Indians as a replacement for Vishnu Vinod. Desai has played a very crucial role for his domestic side in first-class cricket and his performances with the bat have been quite impressive.
In 46 first-class matches, Desai scored 2658 runs with an average of 33.64 and a strike rate of 48.15 including 16 half-centuries and 5 magnificent centuries. He played a total of 40 List-A matches and scored 1341 runs at a batting average of 35.28 and a strike rate of 76.84 including 9 fifties and 4 hundreds.
Desai’s Average in T20 cricket has been Good
Harvik Desai has appeared in a total of 27 T20 matches in which he scored 691 runs at a batting average of 30.04 and a strike rate of 134.17 including 4 half-centuries and 1 massive ton too. He made his debut in first-class cricket on November 4, 20188, while playing against Chhattisgarh at Rajkot.
Desai played his first List-A contest on February 26, 2017, while representing Saurashtra against Hyderabad at Kalyani. The performance of the player in all three formats of the game and now he is ready to start his journey in the Indian Premier League with one of the most successful sides of all time i.e. Mumbai Indians.
MI Expectes a Massive Victory over RCB today
MI will face RCB today in Mumbai and the side is aiming to improve their position in the points table as they could secure only a single win in the past 4 matches.
