Akhtar said in a video on Social Media “X”
“I know you guys are disappointed. The whole country is demoralized at the moment. I said before the match that individual goals shouldn’t really matter. You have to play for each other and for the country. You have to show intent and win matches for the team. You shouldn’t worry about milestones. Disappointing. Does Pakistan really deserve to be in the Super 8s? God knows. I leave this question to you.”
Babar said after Loss the match against India
“I think they bowled well after 10 overs. We were chasing 120, in the first 10 overs we were scoring runs at a run a ball, but two wickets fell in a row and then [we gave up too many runs towards the end]. The strategy was simple, play normally, rotate the strike, bowl 5-6 overs per over. But in that period we bowled too many dot balls, the pressure was on us, and we lost three wickets quickly. Can’t expect too much from the tail-enders. We didn’t do well in the first six overs, we had a target of 40-45 runs, but we couldn’t capitalise on it properly. The pitch looked good, the ball was coming on nicely. A bit slow, some balls were bouncing a bit too much, but you can expect that from a drop-in pitch.”
Rohit said after Win the match against Pakistan
“We did not bat well. We were in a good position for half of our innings. We did not make enough partnerships there and also failed in batting. We talked about the importance of every run on such a pitch. There were enough runs in the pitch. Honestly, it was a better wicket than the last match.”
