Nevertheless, captain Suryakumar Yadav supported him steadfastly. In response, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill batted aggressively, and Tilak Varma sealed the victory in 18.5 overs.

The boys showed amazing strength

After the match, Suryakumar spared no effort in praising his team.

He said, “The way the boys are stepping up in every match makes my job so easy. They showed great spirit. After the first 10 overs, they stayed calm.”

Pakistan scored runs in the first 10 overs, but the Indian bowlers made a brilliant comeback.

Suryakumar told Bumrah after the drinks break, “This is where the game begins.” This filled the entire team with enthusiasm.

Supporting Bumrah, “He’s not a machine”

Suryakumar openly defended Bumrah’s poor performance.

He said, “It’s okay, he’s not a robot. Everyone has an off day.”

Suryakumar also mentioned that Shivam Dube held the team together during difficult times. He also praised the pair of Abhishek and Gill, calling them a “fire and ice combination.”

But he took a dig at the fielding errors, saying, “Our fielding coach T Dilip has emailed all the players who had butter fingers today.”

In the group stage, India defeated UAE, Pakistan, and Oman to secure the top spot in the Super Four.

The team will now enter the next match with even more enthusiasm. The return of a champion like Bumrah will make India’s path easier.
