Delhi Capitals emerged victorious by 6 wickets in the 26th contest of the Indian Premier League which was played in Lucknow. While batting first, LSG made a total of 167/7 at the end of 20 overs and Delhi Capitals chased down the target in just 18.1 overs to secure a win by 6 wickets. This is the second victory for DC in this season and with this win, DC has moved 1 position up in the table and now they are placed at the 9 position in the IPL 2024 Points Table.
Fraser-McGurk’s Impressive Half-century
Jake Fraser-McGurk played an impressive knock of 55 runs in just 35 deliveries at a strike rate of 157.14 including 2 fours and 5 sixes while Prithvi Shaw also scored 32 runs in just 22 deliveries at a strike rate of 145.45 including 6 fours.
David Warner could not do much for the side and scored 8 runs in 9 deliveries with a strike rate of 88.89 while Rishabh Pant played a crucial innings of 41 runs in just 24 deliveries at a strike rate of 170.83 which includes 4 fours and 2 massive hits. Tristan Stubbs also made 15 runs in just 9 deliveries while Shai Hope scored 11 runs in 10 balls.
Kuldeep Yadav Picked up 3 wickets
The performance of Kuldeep Yadav was quite impressive in the game as he picked up 3 wickets at the expense of 20 runs in his spell of 4 overs. Khaleel Ahmed also took 2 wickets in 4 overs at an economy of 10.25 while Ishant Sharma and Mukesh Kumar took 1-1 wicket. From the bowling department of LSG, Ravi Bishnoi picked up 2 wickets by giving 25 runs in 4 overs while Naveen-ul-Haq and Yash Thakur also picked up 1-1 wicket.
In the first innings, KL Rahul played an innings of 39 runs in 22 deliveries at a strike rate of 177.27 including 6 boundaries while Ayush Badoni played an impressive knock of 55 runs in just 35 deliveries. The performance of the batting department of LSG was not good in the game as the middle order of the side was failed to contribute anything and half of the side was returned to the pavilion at the score of just 77 runs in 9.3 overs. Ayush Badoni and Arshad Khan somehow balanced the innings and helped the side reach a fighting total.
