Pakistan batted first and scored 146 runs in 19.1 overs, but India won by scoring 150/5 in 19.4 overs. Tilak Verma’s brilliant innings of 69 runs made India the champions.
Tilak Verma and the bowlers’ brilliance
Pakistan got off to a good start, with Sahibzada Farhan scoring 57 and Fakhar Zaman scoring 46. However, the Indian bowlers made a strong comeback. Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy took 2 wickets each.
Axar Patel also took two wickets, restricting Pakistan to 146. The Indian bowling attack demonstrated its ability to defend any score.
Tilak Verma dominates India’s batting
India’s batting got off to a shaky start. Abhishek Sharma (5), Suryakumar Yadav (1), and Shubman Gill (12) were dismissed early.
But Tilak Verma held one end and scored an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls.
His innings included three fours and four sixes. Sanju Samson (24) and Shivam Dubey (33) also provided good support. Rinku Singh sealed India’s victory with a four in the last over.
For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf took three wickets, but their bowlers were unable to contain India’s batting. Haris Rauf proved to be quite expensive, conceding 50 runs in 3.4 overs.
Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed took one wicket each, but they could not prevent India from winning. Indian fans celebrated wildly at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
