On Wednesday, a Group A match was underway between Pakistan and the UAE. Batting first, Pakistan scored 146 for 9 in 20 overs.
Fakhar Zaman smashed a blazing 50 off 36 balls, while Shaheen Shah Afridi anchored the innings with an unbeaten 29 off 14 balls.
But the UAE bowlers also performed brilliantly. Junaid Siddiqui took 4 wickets for 18 runs, and Simranjeet Singh Kang took 3 wickets for 18 runs.
Drama on the field
The match became even more exciting when the UAE came out to chase the target of 147 runs. In the sixth over, a Pakistani fielder threw a ball that accidentally hit Sri Lankan umpire Ruchira Palliyaguruge on her left ear.
