In the previous game against the Sunirsers Hyderabad, Dinesh Karthik played an impressive innings of 83 runs in 35 deliveries at a strike rate of 237.14 including 5 fours and 7 sixes. The opening pair of the side accumulated 80 runs for the side in just 6.2 overs but the side lost the wickets of Kohli and du Plessis at the total score of 121 runs.

Virat Kohli and du Plessis gave a good start

Virat Kohli and the skipper of the side, Faf du Plessis provided RCB with a strong start but could not lead the side to touch 150 approx runs with their partnership. The middle order also collapsed as Patidar and Jacks returned to the pavilion without crossing the 10 run-mark. The innings of Dinesh Karthik kept the hope of the RCB fans alive and also helped the side cross a total of 260 runs during the run-chase.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Broke Several Records

Sunrisers Hyderabad broke their own record of scoring the highest runs in an innings in the Indian Premier League which they made in a contest against Mumbai Indians in the same season. The bowling department of RCB is considered weak when compared to the other units participating in the tournament and SRH took the full benefit of that to hit 287 runs on the board in the first innings.
