Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are going to give the fitness test soon.
What is Yo-Yo Test?
Rohit Juglan shared a video on his X handle and said,
“At this time I can say that Rohit Sharma will be at the new Center of Excellence of BCCI and he will be there in the last days of this month, possibly on 30th and 31st, which are two important days.”
He further said, “He will be there around 29th or 30th, I have come to know from my sources, you know sources have also told me that he will undergo a Yo-Yo test on the 31st, possibly on the 31st and before that on the 30th, there will be other tests, you know, there was some stretching, some other tests will also be a part of that.”
Rohit Sharma, who has now retired from Test cricket, and KL Rahul as well as some other players like Harshit Rana will also take part in this fitness test. But, whether there will be a bronco test or not, the suspense still remains.
Juglan said, “Rohit Sharma will be there and he will go through all these, you know, yo-yo tests, other tests, bronco tests are a very big part of the discussion, but, you know, what I have seen for the bronco test is that it is part of the series, not the Center of Excellence area.”
KL Rahul’s magic
KL Rahul recently rocked the England tour. After the retirement of Rohit and Virat, he was the most senior batsman in the Test team.
This Karnataka star scored 532 runs in 5 Tests at an average of 53.20, which included two centuries and two half-centuries. Now his fitness will be tested in the Yo-Yo test.
There is no confirmed news of Virat Kohli’s participation in the fitness test.
Juglan told, “So, yes, I also asked about Virat Kohli’s availability, you know whether he will be there or not, but at this time, as far as Virat Kohli is concerned, there is no date fixed.”
