“It is going to hold allrounders back” says Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma said that he is not a big fan of the impact player rule as it holds the all-rounders back and eventually the game is played by 12 players instead of 11. The impact player rule is effective in terms of entertainment purposes but considering the cricket aspect it is not good for the game. He also mentioned, that Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar are not getting the chance to bowl and that is not a good thing.
IPL Chairman, Arun Dhumal has also reacted positively to it and said that many experts have shown their reaction to this reaction and the majority of them are looking against this rule. In this scenario, a discussion will happen among all the sides and the experts to reconsider the decision to keep the rule in the upcoming seasons of the tournament once the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League concludes in May.
