How Bumrah helped Zaheer Khan internally
“Bumrah was very impressed with his slower balls. Bumrah asked him, “How do you bowl these slower balls? How do you throw a ball like that?”This was a big thing for me. The No. 1 bowler in the world was learning from him.
“Bumrah had also seen my T10 tournament video where I bowled a maiden over. I told him about my technique and how he bowls yorkers with the new ball. Only two people in the world can do that – Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah.”
“I once bowled a slower ball to Rohit Sharma. They kept watching because the ball hardly reached them. He couldn’t understand how the ball could be so slow.”
“Even if the batsman understands your ball, it will never result in a six,” Rohit said.”
Zaheer recalled some special moments from the MI camp. He said that Rohit Sharma welcomed him very well. Rohit had said, “The entire stadium is yours, paji. If you need anything just let me know.”
Zahoor praised Rohit’s simplicity. “Rohit would always eat with people who would pick up our stuff. He’s a legend.”
Zaheer praised Bumrah, calling him a “superstar.” He is very happy that Bumrah has made a great comeback after being out for a year. “Bumrah is a very good human being.”
