In a recent talk on Navjot Singh Sidhu answered many questions, especially on the Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni and the performance of the side over the years. Sidhu pointed out the importance of the presence of a good leader in a time and also talked about the contribution of Dhoni to the success of the Chennai Super Kings.
In the ongoing season, the performance of the side has been quite impressive as they started their campaign with a satisfying win against RCB and then defeated Gujarat Titans to maintain the winning momentum. However, the side had to face a defeat in the previous encounter against Delhi Capitals but the performance of MS Dhoni with the bat was absolutely impressive.

The performance of many players like Shane Watson, and Moeen Ali was not that good when they were a part of the other franchises. But, they played an outstanding role in the success of the Chennai Super Kings and it became possible only due to the exceptional leadership skills of MS Dhoni.
Sidhu said that the same player who was not performing well in other teams started performing exceptionally well when he started playing under Dhoni and that is only the result of a good leader.
Batting at Lower Order is Challenging, Not Easy- Sidhu
Navjot Singh Sidhu also talked about the batting position of Dhoni and said that Dhoni is one of the best finishers. He also mentioned that batting at the lower positions like, 6th, 7th or 8th is not easy at all as you have to score the runs at a very good run rate at this stage.
If you are doing the bat first, you’ll aim for a large score and if you are chasing a total you will have a very big responsibility on your shoulders. The runs scored in the death overs are often the result-decider, especially in the shortest format of the game.
Many people criticize Dhoni for not coming early on the crease but Sidhu beautifully explained the thought process of the former captain and the most experienced player of the Chennai Super Kings.
