GT scored their lowest score in IPL to lose the contest against DC by 6 wickets

In the 32nd contest of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, DC emerged victorious by 6 wickets and secured a massive win over GT. After winning the toss, DC elected to bowl first, and their decision worked absolutely well in their favour as the side restricted GT to a total of just 89 runs in 17.3 overs.

DC chased down the total in just 8.5 overs to register their third victory of the season. With this win, DC has improved its rankings in the table, and now the side is placed at the 6th spot with 3 wins in 7 contests, while GT is now standing in the 7th position with 3 victories in 7 matches.

Rashid Khan scored the most Runs for Gujarat Titans

The opening pair of GT could not contribute much for the side and both the openers were returned to the pavilion at a total score of 28 runs in 3.5 overs. The side lost 2 more wickets with the addition of 2 more runs in the next over and half of the side was returned to the pavilion at a total of 47 runs in 8.3 overs. Rashid Khan somehow kept the fight alive and scored 31 runs in 24 deliveries with the help of 2 fours and 1 six and finally got dismissed in the 18th over. 

Rahul Tewatia scored 10 runs in just 15 deliveries while Sai Sudharsan scored only 12 runs in 9 deliveries with the help of 2 boundaries. From the bowling department of the Delhi Capitals, Mukesh Kumar picked up the highest 3 wickets by giving 14 runs in 2.3 overs at an economy of 5.60 while Tristan Stubbs and Ishant Sharma also took 2-2 wickets at an economy rate of 11.00 and 4.00 respectively.

Delhi Chased down the total in just 8.5 overs

Prithvi Shaw and Fraser-McGurk accumulated 25 runs for the first wicket and the side had lost two wickets at the score of 31 runs in 2.4 overs. Shai Hope played an innings of 19 runs in 10 deliveries at a strike rate of 190.00 while Rishabh Pant also made 16 runs in just 11 deliveries with the help of 2 boundaries and led the side to the victory.

From the Gujarat Titans, Sandeep Warrier picked up 2 wickets at the expense of 40 runs in 3 overs while Spencer Johnson and Rashid Khan took 1-1 wicket at an economy of 11.00 and 6.00 respectively.
