BCCI has invited applications for the post of head coach, which is looking for diverse candidates. It includes names like VVS Laxman, Stephen Fleming and Mahela Jayawardene.
According to a report in Jagran regarding Gambhir, he is likely to be selected but it has also been shown that he needs full guarantee of his selection. This shows his decisiveness and shows his desire to not just be another candidate but also to be appointed as the head coach after the election.
