The fourth T20 International match between India and South Africa, scheduled to be played in Lucknow, was canceled due to dense fog.

The match was to be held at the Ekana Stadium, but due to poor visibility, the umpires inspected the ground several times.
Finally, the match was completely called off at around 9:30 PM. Thousands of spectators who had arrived at the stadium were disappointed by this decision, but now a major update regarding ticket refunds has emerged.
UPCA Announces Full Ticket Refund
The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has clarified that all spectators will receive a full refund of their ticket price following the cancellation of the match.
In his official statement, UPCA Secretary Prem Manohar Gupta said, “Spectators who booked tickets online will receive a refund of the ticket amount through their original mode of payment.”
He further added, “Refund-related notifications will be sent to the registered email addresses. Ticket holders are advised to regularly monitor their emails for further updates.”
This means that those who booked tickets online will receive their money back through the same payment method, and this information will be provided via email.
The match was scheduled to start at 7 PM, but due to dense smog and fog, the game could not begin even after six inspections. This decision was taken keeping in mind the safety of the players and visibility.
UPCA has also clarified the complete process for those who purchased tickets offline. The statement said, “Offline ticket holders must be present in person and are required to: Carry your original physical tickets along with a copy of Government ID for verification.”
Complete Offline Ticket Refund Process
Spectators who purchased offline tickets can collect their refunds at Gate Number 2 of the Ekana International Cricket Stadium. This facility will be available on December 20, 21, and 22 from 11 AM to 6 PM.
According to UPCA, “Customers will submit all the above along with their bank details. Fill out the refund form provided at the counter with relevant and accurate details. Submit the original tickets along with the completed form for verification.”
It was also clarified that, “Upon successful verification, refunds will be processed directly to the respective bank accounts as per the details provided in the refund form. Refunds will be initiated only after due verification of the submitted documents and information.”
