Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won their third IPL trophy by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
In this match played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, KKR performed brilliantly and defeated SRH by 8 wickets.

The excellent bowling of Mitchell Starc and Andre Russell and the half-century innings of Venkatesh Iyer played an important role in this victory.
Andre Russell’s reaction after IPL 2024 win
KKR’s star all-rounder Andre Russell expressed happiness over his team’s victory and said that it is a special feeling for him.
“When you’re part of this team, not playing or being on the field, but supporting the players in every way, it’s always a good feeling, but it’s a special feeling,” Russell said on Geo Cinema. “To be in the playing XI, to contribute through your leadership and everything, it’s a special feeling.”
Russell also talked further about his batting technique. He said, “I don’t move my front foot too much, stand as still as possible and wait as long as possible. Normally, that’s my trigger movement, to bring my left foot forward. Shake, so I try to keep it as steady as possible. So, if the bowler bowls a wide ball, I push straight and I get the reach because I am standing on the off stump.”
